Same reason that they call these aircraft AirForce1 and AirForce2........... unaware.....

Air Force 1 and air force 2 are call signs for planes carrying the president and Vice President, not actual specific names or tail number of specific planes. It’s merely a air traffic control thing.

If your referring to the number of engines the planes have that is incorrect.


So any plan could be air force 1 or 2. Although it is typically one of a few planes designated to be used by them, and not some random plane.

If Trump was flying on his private jet, it’s call sign would be air force 1 while he is on it. Then would revert back to whatever it’s tail number actually is if he wasn’t on it

Actually, that is not correct, If he were on his private, or any civilian aircraft for that matter, the call sign would be Executive1, when he helicopters from the WH Lawn he is on Marine1, when President Bush landed on the carrier he was on Navy1...

It is NOT possible for the POTUS to fly on Airforce2......................

First time I've ever heard anyone refer to a float plane as a pontoon plane.
