toss up between my first year 586 or my 44 mountain gun. probably the 586 due to less recoil.

If your going to hit someone then you should use the steel mace I saw on TV yesterday.about 10 pounds and made to kill men wearing armor. Packs a lot more wallop than any pistol, more reach too.

I have a SW 1950 Target revolver that is effortless. Model before 1955 M25. I think the tapered barrel make the balance and pointability.
I have 1955s and they are not close.

Used to have a turn in Model 66 with a 4” barrel that I had bead blasted, and the previous owner had drilled the front sight and had a night sight installed. I couldn’t seem to miss with that gun, but sold it in a fit of stupidity for a contender I no longer have.

There is a pistol in which mechanism grabs cartridges from behind. Apparently in certain instances where non-crimped ammo was used bullet would separate from the case dumping powder into magazine. crazy Original was called Boberg, but is now produced by company in Texas that also makes derringer pistols.

I would have to say my Ruger MKII 5.5 bull barrel. Probably because I shot/shoot it more than anything else. Next would be the old Glock 21.

Yes.

You catch fish with what lure you use.

But I believe that's a proven lure, and is why I carry my Ruger, and have taken lots of game with it.

I suppose it would be cheating to mention the S&W 6" Model 17. It's not a pistol. It's a revolver. It shoots like a carbine.

A couple of folks mentioned the Ruger semi-auto...this MK II stainless is working out well so far. Had a few things done to it to make it competition-ready.

Yeah, my Colt Officers Target is the same way. Almost feels like cheating.

This sight-in confirmation target was shot two hands standing, slow fire with softball handloads. Great ergonomics and fine mechanical accuracy, combined with the outstanding Novak sight picture, make this a “Hittingest Pistol” for me.

Love the target notes

I also have a fat barreled Browning Buckmark which is amazingly accurate.

I did not include it here as, although I've had it for a couple of years now, I still don't have a holster for it and cannot do "draw and fire"

And this is gonna start another thread. Please tune into "Ruger, Browning, Colt, in about 10 minutes or so.

Model 57, 6”, bone stock save for John Culina stocks. Had a custom deluxe rig built for in in the ‘80s by the now defunct Idaho Leather Company. Been a lot of places, lots of miles afoot and horseback, and just always seems to hit anything I aim at. Still looks great too.

If I wasn’t such a dim bulb, I’d post a photo of it.

I’m not real handy with a pistol. That being said. Out of all the ones I have owned and currently own....it has to be my Dan Wesson CCO.

Bowen tuned Blackhawk 45 Colt
Wife won't let me shoot her S&W Mod 10 38 anymore.
These I shoot the best - order varies by day.
