Pretty good.

I didn't play golf till I was in my early 40s. Got immediately hooked on it. Played three or four times a week and managed to get to a 15 handicap on a decent public course in less than a year, Joined a country club with a tougher course, handicap went up to an 18. Took a few lessons, never got any better and usually couldn't play to the 18 off my home course. After 15/16 years of this I decided it didn't make much sense to stay with something that I liked but couldn't improve at, pissed me off too often and cost that much money. Gave my clubs away and haven't played since. I won't lie, as much as I love to fish and bird hunt if I had ever got to where I could play half decent I'd still be playing golf and fishing less.

Parking lot job: When I first started playing, a guy I played with sometimes, was a card carrying 10 handicap but was considerably better. He was a well off retired CPA in his early 50s and played about every day for money. On our home course with us he'd play to a considerably lower number. Our bets weren't that big without automatic presses. When I asked him why he kept his handicap at 10 he said it was for money games at other courses or tournaments when he didn't always know the other players. He said you'd play partners sometimes at considerably higher stakes and when you left the course you might see your partner that hadn't played too well with the two guys who had beat you splitting up your money in the parking lot.

The handicap system is an all out joke.
Having a game that travels well. That's a worthy goal.

The question is when you going to sell all your guns and glass di lidos? Now that you are golf pro?

I played at a club as a guest of an Armenian guy I used to hunt with. This club had a whole lot of Armenian members. We were waiting in the bar for his brother when we noticed a black guy getting ready to tee off. About that time his brother walked in looked out the window and said who's that. The bartender said I don't know, he's a new member. Another guy sitting at the bar said that's ......, used to be a wide receiver for the Chargers, he just joined the club. The brother of the Armenian guy who invited me said "damn I thought we'd finally got a pure bred."

What state was that?

Funniest part is I made it all up.

For the record Flave never humped a pillow.

At least not in my house.

Maybe not your house... you should see what he did to my pillows.... and chickens , and dog etc.....

Sort of.

And this people, is why Flave remains a class act.
