After accidently leaving the damn tumbler running for two and a half days. That 223 brass looked as good as new.

I did that once with an old tumbler. Came back and the cement that held the upper and lower halves of the bowl together had failed and leaked media all over the place. But the brass nearly glowed in the dark.

I glued the bowl back together and it went another decade until the motor failed.

I I often leave brass in my tumbler overnight....that a throwing a cap full or two of acetone with it,
the next morning it does look like its brand new....

I often do that after they have been reloaded... then they shine like a new Mercedes...

I kinda like that... doesn't make shoot any better, but it sure makes me feel like I do...

One benefit of shiny brass is it’s easier to find in the grass!

I guess I'm anal about my brass. I always leave it in the tumbler over night. Shines like a new penny. I also throw a big spoon full of Mothers Wheel Polish in once in a while.

An actual tumbler, or a vibratory cleaner? Too long in a real tumbler can result in peened over case mouths.

I have some nickel plated 22-250's that I've yet to use because they're just too purty to use.

My Thumblers tumbler makes them shine in about 6 hours. I have a timer in mine, but I’ve forgotten and it’s ran several cycles before.
