At least consider setting up a Politics and Law forum. The 'Fire is being overwhelmed by such stuff.

I know it would mean extra work to monitor and move posts from here to there (as they occur in future, no sense going back in time) but it would return this forum to a much more enjoyable place.

Gee, if we did that the Hunter's Campfire might actually contain things I want to read.

The Fire is overwhelmed with trolls too.

There's a big difference in trainwreck threads by valid members, and valid threads purposely derailed by paid trolls.

But clicks are money $$ in the internet forum business. So nothing is done.

We have religious trolls too. Those that are only here to deny God, and argue He doesn't exist.

Perhaps we need to have a Politics & Religion forum? I doubt it'd get used though. It would be greatly ignored.

I am going to guess that Rick doesn't give a schidt. If he did, he'd shut down the trolls.

Who are the valid members? Only the ultra conservative, wear-it-on-your-sleeve conservatives?

You just can't cope with people that disagree with you. Better they go away than you have to listen to them.

Maybe those that actually hunt/shoot/fish/trap/reload/ and are vested in interests as such, as well as the freedoms and liberties that come with that lifestyle?

I have no problem with people that I don't agree with. None.

I even enjoy a good heated debate.

But trolls that promote communism, gun control, and taking our freedoms away, are nothing but... well, Trolls.

I asked Bin several times to perm bann me on threads on the gen forum for one and all to read.

Sent him a pm asking to perm ban me.
Said I was sick of the place
Cant hide my posting style under any sockpuppet.
Impossible for someone like me who post what I mean 100%

Told me to abandon renegade50 account and make a sock puppet and continue to post but use better techniques to cover my ID when posting.

Anybody that read any of TomBrown post I layed out about registration and how easy a sockpuppet can be made.
And then it got banned for stating the truth.

That shoulda been pretty revealing..

I am not asking Rick to ban anyone, limit any discussions, or even stifle traffic. All I'm asking is that political stuff be moved to a separate forum. If we can have forums for lever action rifles, trapping, and dog training, surely having a separate one for political discussions is not too much to ask.

Yes. Any post gets moved so far down I never see it without looking back 3 pages. If I see an interesting post it gets lost. If I post something I think others may enjoy and add to it gets lost too

First Amendment doesn't mean chit here, or any other website. Not until and unless the federal gov't passes laws to mute conversations.

I'd be willing to bet 90% of people don't really have a clue as to the true meaning of the 1st Amendment.

I do however know something about forums, and when you agree to abide by the TOS, or even if you don't agree, you can be censored, banned, or whatever by Admin that run the website, without any recourse.

It's like kicking your loudmouthed, drunk cousin out of your house on Thanksgiving. It's your house. You make the rules.
