Looking at the profile it looks like all they could get is (screen name, password, email address) if you were wise and did not put other stuff in there.

Using your screen name and email address hackers can then go off and search large collections of data on the dark web and probably figure out some more information about you. Depends on what you have leaked in other places and whether those other places have been breached. You wold probably end up getting phishing emails. The more they could figure out the more devious the emails may be.

The password is probably stored hashed(a sort of encryption). Even if it's hashed it can be decoded using well know techniques especially since most people create non- random passwords. If you use the same password on other sites you may be putting those other sties logons at risk. Using the same password in multiple sites is not a good idea.

Governments are a whole different story.

All you really need is the email address and you get a location of the computer or cell phone.

All these posts are stored in a government facility. They already know who you are and probably have copied China's for Facebook's procedure of a reliability rating.

In the end it doesn't matter. They will just make up [bleep] about you and do what they want.

I wouldn't worry too much about government or communist revolutionaries learning my real name and address. However, I don't want some of these freaks that are Campfire members to know where I live!

I've lived around a lot of jealous A-holes [biloxi,Ms.] when I was young , pro street corvette/truck/sportbike and boat -pretty easy to get to - pretty easy to damage .

Maybe word it to the members --> would you get pissed if a lefty came to your house and damaged your home/car/truck/boat late at night every month or two .

I fully understand you, and when I am at home on my land I expect to be left alone, my gates have my full name and a phone number on it, thats as warm and fuzzy as I get , I don't own a welcome mat and I don't buy any beer besides what I drink, I do not live to entertain or baby sit those that I don't have a long history with.

Just look at the numbers. There's often a thousand give or take viewing and how many members logged in?......Maybe a couple dozen sometimes.....
