I have 2 Sightron SIII 1.5-6x50 scopes that I would like to sell.
Can anyone give me an approx. value for these scopes.
Both are in great condition, one was never mounted.
Thanks

I can't find anything online for this discontinued scope. Everything Sightron has these days in it's top-end scopes seems to be "long range" something or other.

Do you remember what you paid for them? I'd start by asking half that amount.

Although they make some good scopes, there doesn't seem to be much of a demand for used models.

Which style box, the older gray box or black/gray (I think)? They changed builds on the S3's, and clearanced out the older versions. Do they have the #4 reticles, 30mm tubes? They are really nice scopes, but bulky and heavy....probably $300-350.

I have one. I bought it on clearance for $300. I think they originally sold for around $500 and listed for $650.

They are easily worth $300.

They made an SII 1.5-6×42 that had a 1 inch tube. I have one on my muzzle loader.

I also have the SIII 1.5-6×50. I really like it but the 30mm tube and the 50mm objective are unnecessary and add extra weight. The SIII glass on the SII setup would have been perfect.

The Blue Sky had the SIII glass, iirc.

I'd like to find an SII one-inch model. I have a Ruger 77 RSI in .308 that I'm getting refinished, and it would be perfect for that rifle.

If they ever made that configuration in the big sky, I would have definitely bought one.

I don’t know what the various configurations were, just that (supposedly) the SII ‘Big Sky’ models had SIII glass/coatings......which (to me) is as bright and clear as anything I’ve owned. The problem was that SII reticles (that I was ever aware of) were too thin to really take advantage of the glass in low light. SIII stuff apparently had some more useful reticle options.
