This is a LEO refurb from Sig, several hundred handloads of various bullet and charge weights. All mags are Sig. Yesterday and a few times in the past it has done this, today it failed to lock back after last round with all four mags.

Anything obvious I should look for/at.

I, have had to modify my grip/hold from that of a 1911, could it be the way I grip/hold.

Me too... Certain guns lay out just so I get my thumb in the wrong place.

At, first thought defalve was being snide after reading the other post it came to me.

Just went out and assume the grip and now I understand.

Still got work to do on my grip.

Thanks one and all.

Have a happy Thanksgiving

It's almost always the shooters hand/thumb that causes this (depending on if you're left or right handed). On the exceedingly rare occasions it's not the shooter, then it's the slide stop spring. The 220 series Sig's have a GAZILLION small parts in the lower and pretty much ever part on the gun has its own spring. The springs for the slide stop are thin and they do break on very rare occasion.

With me it was a SIG 228 but NEVER with a SIG 220 or 226 or any other pistol.
