I was arranging my stuff for my upcoming move and I came across a 'cyalume light 260a' stuck in a boot that hadn't seen the light of day since 1990. Don't know when it was made, it was out of the foil wrapper. Ha it works, still glowing after 30 min.
A government is the most dangerous threat to mans rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims.

That mil-spec stuff really lasts.
I found one single match left in an old book of matches from a C-ration pack (yeah, that old). This one was in my field jacket so had to date from 1975 or before.
I tried it and it lit right up! Man, with them being that good I'm gonna save it for an emergency.
Oh, wait a min...
Damn.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

I remember the c-rats from '75 era. Not because I was in but I was living at the Air Station attached to Camp LeJeune and us boys would sneak around the Camp Geiger training areas scavaging anything we could. We made our own pyro from the powder gleaned from blanks. Discarded c-rats were gold. Discarded training LAWs were platinum.
