With the current goings on I am thinking about trying to find a single powder that would work well in my 6mm and a 7-08 I have on the way.
Maybe get an 8# of that powder and be set for while.
Bullet weight would be 85/95 grains for the 6mm and 120/140 for the 7-08.
It may also be a situation where I have to stick with either the light bullet or heavy bullet in both to get that 1 powder to work.
What say the 'Fire??

H4350, IMR-4350.
In that order.
Varget, RL-19 will also work OK, as will RL-15.
Really kinda hard to go wrong with any of them, within reason.

H4350 has a good burning rate for what you mention. I guess the other 4350s as well (IMR AA) and IMR4451. Or maybe even RE19.

Reloder 17 might be your ticket, I'm using it in a 6mm. Similar in burn rate to the 4350's

If I had to pick a reliable powder for both the 6mm Rem and the 7mm-08...it would be Reloder 19.
I'm currently exploring 7mm-08; RL 19 seems to be one of the go-to powders for heavier bullets here.
I've used a lot of RL 19 in 90-100gr bullets in the 6mm Rem. consistently good there.

Of 15 powders tested in my 6 mm Remington, with a one in 7 twist, on a long action... testing 75 HP and 115 grain Bergers, and 95 grain Ballistic Tips...
H 414 was the hands down winner....same powder as W 760, which is still available..
Runner Up was RL 19....
all were still acceptable, EXCEPT H 4895...

For me, H4350 is about as universal as you can get. It may not be the best, but it can usually be used in a pinch for most cartridges. I would never be caught without several pounds of it in reserve.

Big Game, H4350 maybe H414 aka W760 Throw RL 17 in and ill agree. If just buying 1 powder, id probably lean towards H4350. Its such a versatile powder. Works great in my creedmoors, 06's, 338wm etc

I would consider R16 as an option, similar to R17 and H4350 and temperature stable too. 4350 is another good option.
