I have been killing time while the auto repair place puts new tie rod ends on the Honda and then aligns it, so I ran the number of the U.S. population. I knew that Cali and Texas had big populations, but I didn't realize that together they account for just over 20% of the total U.S. population. Cali alone has more residents than the cumulative total of the 21 least populated States, plus DC.

Do a search on the Art Bell C2C show where the guy shot and buried a Bigfoot.

Sandy loam burial. No trace. Weird, eh?

Much more interesting.

The latest thing down here in the bottom land is to buy a 5 or 10 acre track and put 6 to 12 old mobile homes on it. Then sell the lot and home. None of the individuals involved speak English as a first language. Most of the property being sold to these tenement speculators is from old families whose heirs live elsewhere. They are just selling the land. They are everywhere.

Naturally the corrupt tax appraisal board is giddy with all this! To hell with any restrictions

I got my MBA in 1986, back when we used VisiCal and thought that Lotus 1-2-3 was the end all, be all, tool for number crunching.

VisiCalc and Lotus 1-2-3 are long gone memories now that EXCEL is the primary tool of most number cruncher's.

My math ceiling was calculus.

I'll see your little trailer parks of Mexicans,
We offer farmers bought up for prices that blow my mind.
Busted into chunks of 20-70 acres.
Fancy houses, rich DC'ers and Baltimorons, that are now farmer's.
Of course they have time and money, so they duck up to the local
powers and try to make us a Suburb of their chitty.

One thing I will give them, the majority are conservative.
Liberals around here tend to not be happy.

Why is it that when "city people" buy property in the country to get away from the city, right away they want to change things to suit them and to make things better for the provincials who were happily ignorant of their deficiencies before the "city people" moved in?

Even more, the 9 most populous States have more residents than the remaining 41 and DC combined.

CA, TX, FL, NY, IL, PA, OH, GA, and NC combine for 51% of the population.

I took 1 semester of calculus in college, first semester freshman year, got a C. Good thing for me that there wasn't much demand for Army ROTC scholarships in 1973.

I dropped out of the 3d semester in college. I didn't need it anyway for my major. It was taught by an idiot who couldn't write a test to cover the same material as what he was teaching. Engineering students were having to take it an average of 3 times to pass so they could get on with their other classes. Finally someone stole a test and gave it to the head of the engineering dept. The next semester this prof was teaching remedial math for no credit until they could get around his tenure and fire him.
