With the demise of Remington and the way reloading components are right now, are Remington Golden Saber and JHP 125gr 38 cal .357" bullets in demand? Are they desired bullets? I haven't loaded anything 38 Special or 357 Rem Mag in a long time and have an "opportunity" to get a good amount of both of the bullets I'm asking about. I know this is subjective but curious to what people think that are actively reloading for the stated calibers. Thanks in advance for your replies (I think!) Lol! Take care and Happy Thanksgiving. I shoot 124 Golden Sabers out of my 9mm and 38 Supers if you run into any of those....

Golden Saber’s in any caliber are top notch. I would be interested in a couple 125gr if the price was right. Wouldn’t mind some 9mm and 45acp too.

I'm pretty sure Vista Outdoors (Federal, Speer, CCI, RCBS, Alliant Powder, Hoppes #9, Tasco, Bushnell, Camelbak, etc., etc.) will still make Golden Sabers. Remington brand ammo is just another one of their brand portfolio now:

https://vistaoutdoor.com/brands/

Remington also owned Barnes bullets, but I think their Mona UT factory went to a different bidder (Sierra bullets).

The Golden Sabers for 38/357 come in two types. One is for 38 Special and it opens a lower velocities. It will overexpand and penetrate poorly at high velocities (357 Magnum). There is a different Golden Saber for 357 Magnum. It won't expand well at 38 Special velocities, but will penetrate better at 357 velocities.

Last year, Midway was selling the Golden Sabers for about $0.14 each. I think they're worth that. They work great for blowing up liquid targets. Nowadays, I would not expect them to become worth much more than in the past due only to Remington's disposition. However, .357" jacketed handgun bullets have become scarce. My reasoning is that the factories that normally produce some are at full-tilt pumping out 9mm to meet the demand. Nobody is taking a break from that for the few 357 guys. What's easier to find right now are cast bullets like SWC. Those machines aren't tied up with 9mm orders. Will there be some 38/357 reloaders out there that will pay high prices? I would say it's possible if market conditions worsen but the demand won't be exclusively for Golden Sabers.

Thanks for the heads up about the 2 different bullets, an old dog learned something new already this morning. Did some digging around to see if I could find out which is which, and found that the 38 Special Golden Saber bullets are item number RMB23940 and the 357 Rem Mag Golden Saber bullets are item number RMB23932. The ones I have an opportunity for are the 38 Special RMB23940, which is actually what I want them for. Thanks!

I actually posted on this forum asking for remington golden sabre 125 grain bullets. Grab all you can. Along with the 135 speer GDHP 'short barrel' bullet, they are one of the few component bullets that will actually open at 38 special velocities. A lot of bullets, even those the companies load in their 38 special will not. They throw in a standard 357 bullet which is too tough and sell it as a target round.

The .38's GS expands down to about 850-875fps impact on denim covered Gel. The speer GDHP needs a bit more velocity and expands less, I consider the GS slightly superior bullet but both are good. The GS also does suprisingly well at higher speeds, impacts of 1200fps it is still holding together, expands to about 65 cal and penetrates 16" in ballistics gel. Folks hunting with low velocity or subsonic rounds in 38/357 carbines are admirers of this bullet. I was very sorry to see it go.
