Found out today from his son Josh that Duane passed away Oct 19 from covid complications. He had recently moved his business from Tappen ND to Fargo ND and Josh was taking over the business. Duane built my .257 DGR rifle about 15 or 20 years ago and I last talked to him in early October before he became sick. Please remember Duane in your thoughts and prayers and encourage Josh to carry on through these difficult times. His obituary can be found at the Boulger Funeral Home website since it is too large to attach here.

Shocked and sorry to hear that. The .257 DGR is a great cartridge and Duane was a really good guy.

Really sorry to hear this. Met him once in South Dakota years ago, nice guy and talented smith.

Wow that sucks. He was a nice guy, fun to chat with. I just talked to him a few months ago about re-barreling my .308 to .257DGR.

I met Duane several times and had in depth conversations with him about rifle accuracy and 'smithing. He struck me as a modest guy and people I know that dealt with him held him in high regard.

Wishing his family all the best as they move forward. -Al
