Scott careful or I will pull my endorsement of you. No need trying to lighten up my inventory, my 280 AI meets my needs.
Nice rifle should be a good fit in your new area! For that price don't think you could duplicate it.

Actually it is on the proper side. They say that 95% of shooters shoot from the wrong side.

I do not have the $$$'s to play. However, I have opened that link 5 or 6 times, hoping that someone had hit the BIN button... Specific interest is that the 7 STW is a long magnum @ 3.600" COAL. Which means that all of the work has been done to convert to other long magnums. If you don't want 7 STW, you're only a rebarrel away from .300H&H, or .375H&H, or ??? No need to chase the longer mag box, follower, bolt stop, or ejector blade. Left Hunter, My money sez that if you buy the rifle, you will like the stock...

Would this action feed the .257 weatherby if rebarreled , or more trouble than it's worth ?

Hal It would be like using a short cartridge in a standard long action. You may run into some feeding issues such as cartridges trying to nose down in the mag box or the bolt possibly not catching the cartridge rim when attempting to feed. But a .257 STW would avoid those issues and be absolute hell on wheels!

Been debating on and off about buying this rifle...for the stock if nothing else. Someone else made my mind up for me though and they purchased it via the BIN button.
Anyone here make the purchase?

It didn't sell, it just ended.
Shoot straight, shoot often, but by all means, use enough gun!

It didn't sell, it just ended. Ditto. Same for me. It originally just showed "Ended". The "Sold" banner is new as of some time today... Regardless, someone got a VERY good deal on a nice rifle.

When the first listing ended, he reposted and the new listing was hyperlinked from the first. When the second listing ended, he relisted, but there was no link as "relisted" back to the second. When the second listing ended, I refreshed periodically waiting on a relist. I just happened to see in the bottom there was another listing advertised by the same seller and that led me to the third listing. 1st: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/8847630712nd: https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/8852337853rd: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/885579339

There wasn't a third listing on the 'fire. I did have it listed on Guns International. It sold last night.
