Well stated.

It's the PB&J of rifle calibers. I hate PB&J

I've shot 220s this year, 165s, and 150s.

Just because.

Load that sling shot with 6.5 mm BB’s and you’re golden.

Yea, I don't like em either, there's nothing to like. Only problem is if I had to get rid of all my rifles except one, my ol' 700 in 30-06 would be the last one to go. I haven't even shot the thing in probably 15 years, it just sits there, but it ain't going anywhere.

Oh! You mean the .30 Govt 1903!

Now that was a real manly man's cartridge, 220 grs. of kick-ass. Then they had to cut 'er down for the 30-03 short, the 30-06, and use that puny pointy 150 gr. bullet.
That's where things went south.

Tweener cartridge if there ever was one. To little for elephants and too big for ducks.
I don't see the point.
I'm going to buck the crowd and stick with my .264 Creedmoor.

I had two friends who culled elephant in Rhodesia with push-feed Mdl 70s in 30-06.

Hunt ducks with an '06 loaded with a 32 acp in a chamber insert.

Now there's an idea....never thought of that. If I had an 06 I'd look into that. But I would never own such a boring tweener.

My out of the box Browning A-bolt Stalker will shoot .375" groups with my 180 grain reloads and 1" groups with store bought ammo. Will your .264 Creedmoor?
