Grabbed vortex viper hs 4-14x44 with V Plex reticle from Midway USA for $299 over the holliday. Should have in hand tomorrow. Guess ill see what kind of deal i got

4-16x44 Viper HS with V Plex. Have scope in hand. Ok...,so....? Impressions, likes, dislikes, etc..... Waiting on a set of 30mm low rings to reduce the altitude a bit. Just holding the scope up and looking thru it outside at various objects the glass is nice. Clear edge to edge. Once i get it mounted properly ill be able to offer some more thoughts. So far im happy with the $299 i spent.

I looked hard at that scope but wanted all my scopes to speak the same language and Black Friday’ed a 3-9 SWFA.
$299 is quite a deal

Mounted and boresighted it tonight. Mounted in a set of Warne Mtn Tech med rings and used the factory weaver style bases. Its sitting tad higher than id like so a set of zeiss rings with built in anti cant level are ordered but im ready to hit the woods. It will perform as is for now. Boresighted with my laser at around 80yds. Clicks firm.and audible. Glass is pretty darn good. Reticle small enough to be precise but still heavy enough that it wont wash out in low light. Eye relief is generous and eye box isnt too finicky even at 16x
