A friend in Seattle sent a story regarding the Seattle City Council considering a proposal to create a "poverty defense" for up to 100 different crimes.

I wonder if rape will be legal too? If I can can't afford a box of chicken, he sure can't afford a hooker or to take a girl out on a date. So he will have no choice but to rape.

I recommend their City Council come up with a “Robin Hood Burials Fund” to pay for cremation and casket services as well.

And of course those problems are ALWAYS the fault of someone and/or something else. So once the masses are impoverished they come along with all their social freebies like welfare and low income housing, aka "welfare palaces". I’d be better off poor in Seattle. Tent cities to hangout in and drink all day, free healthcare, food stamps and welfare, groups that bring free meals to the junkies in the park, and now possibly commit up to a 100 different crimes because I’m poor that someone else can’t because they ain’t poor. Suck people into voting for you because you promise them free stuff paid for by those who work for a living,
mold them into a parasitic and impoverished lifestyle by controlling the supply of free stuff,
manage these poor misfits so that they become a blight on the populace and a threat/nuisance to those who work and pay the bills,
protect these poor poverty-stricken suckers from prosecution for the crimes you stimulate and encourage them to commit,
and ruin your community for all who work, obey the laws and pay for everything.

Hey, you city leaders, what do you call this concept?? How does it mesh with the concepts of self-determination self-respect, and self-reliance - not to mention the concepts of honesty, fairness and strength of community?

Sadly no one dares ask questions of city (political leaders at any level!) regarding American values/responsibilities.
It is a brave new world that "we" have allowed to come into existence!
Only thing I can say is for Americans to be more careful who they vote for - socialists promises from politicians will only lead to the internal destruction of our once great country.

Seattle currently can’t even afford to fix minor potholes so unless their poverty defense lawyers are doing it pro-bono there ain’t no way they can afford it. Seattle like most liberal run cities needs to become the victim of their own stupidity and greed. They aren’t too big to fail, they’re too stupid to survive. Fu.ck Seattle, it’s a cesspool of drug addicts, homeless bums and their enablers....they all deserve to dies from a staph infection.

With a lot of the big tech and Boeing realizing that they are shouldering a disproportionate amount of Seattle’s communist bullshit, they are leaving Seattle in droves. it won’t be long until the entire city loses virtually all of its tax base and implodes on itself. I can’t wait...

Anyone that has real estate in Seattle needs to sell it right the fuqk now before the bottom drops out.
