My inlaws tried to mail us Christmas Presents to Alaska from Omaha and they would not send them to Alaska because of Covid? The rest of the family in lower 48 presents were mailed. Went to UPS and no issues. Anyone else heard this?

There old school so no click and ship

Filed a complaint with the Elkhorn PO to ask why?

I’ve gotten several packages from the lower 48 this week via USPS. Were they using a USPS contractor or the PO itself.

It must be a local to them thing. I’ve received packages this week from family in FL and AR, all USPS. My mom is as old school as they come, 81 and has never owned a computer in her life.

If they are not hand made or personal items, we have started buying Amazon and shipping direct to friends or relatives. Maybe not as personal but fast and cost effective.

I just shipped a package of stuff I sold here to Alaska via USPS flat rate box. I sent it Tuesday.

I have had numerous problems shipping packages lately via USPS. Two weeks not unusual; but shipped 2 packages to a member here in Wasilla, AK. Arrived in 3 business days; go figure?

You have to understand that USPS workers are [bleep] Stupid. Whenever you hear a person from the USPS saying something, realize that it's something they heard from SACharlie, and regurgitated thrtough Paddler.

No joke, USPS personnel rode the short bus and will say anything to validate their idiocy. I know no less than 6 people who work for the USPS, from letter carriers, counter idjits, and even an executive EAS-25. They're all retards.

I'm still getting parts orders. Just takes 1-4 weeks priority mail from ordering, but that's mostly on the sender's end. Generally a week or so once it is enroute. I have some parts ordered before Dec 1- projected shipping date Dec 30. Maybe.....

Probably be better after the Christmas rush is over

Things I ordered a week ago for my sons in Fairbanks arrived there yesterday no problem from L48 vendors. I also sent a couple of large boxes to them this past Thursday by Priority and delivery was guaranteed for Monday. Nothing in the tracking indicates that they won't make it.

The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.

Wish I had a dime for every idiot that told me they could not sell to me because they only sold to US addresses... or the number of idiots that could not understand that "Continental US" includes AK.

Barnes and Noble will not ship to AK, but you can go to the store and order it and they will ship it anywhere in AK, go figure. A few years back I ordered a book while working on my Masters degree and called B&N when the order said shipping to US only and it would not take my address. The person on the phone told me AK was its own country, idiots.
