Well made a little progress on her today , fit the barrel to the action no chamber no cartridge guide or extractor cut but a little closer.
Looks pretty heavy but the large bore relieves weight not really to forward heavy. Haven’t decided how long to finish at yet.

Roy when I said would either be a rotor or a single shot this is what I meant might wind up A ss 99?

Purchased a fixture to secure the action to a mill table for the snap ring cut I hope. Now need to find a few more new style rotor springs.

That's going to be AWESOME in power. The baddest 99 ever. What's your thinking on the wood?

The contour is something I did from an unturned blank. The process took about 5 hours and is less than perfect but runs out like a laser in the lathe. Guessing is close to a 5 contour

The 350 is based on 223 Remington and has a smaller case rim would be pretty difficult to make it run.

Is the "problem" with the 350 legend round in the rotary mag, would it run in a clip gun?

I doubt if the extractor would engage the rim being such a small diameter.

She is fully funtional now, feeds fine. Have a few minor fitting issues left and then make her pretty.[Linked Image][Linked Image][Linked Image]

Chris, this has made my day. I believe this is the first Savage 99 in 450 Bushmaster that is completed. I can't wait to hear how it shoots.

Will find out tomorrow, had a base with me today that came from the donor rifle , planned to scope it bore sight and be ready for tomorrow. A leupold base that the rear reing screws were not square to the point it was easily visable with the naked eye. First I had seen that.

I figured Roy would beet me to it with a rebored rifle? Maybe he has?

I wouldn't take it from you Chris! LOL I've been busy with other things.Chief amongst them getting a generator for the whole house. You know, boring stuff.

I am excited about your 450 and Loggah's 414 Supermag.

Oh, I like it. A double diamond DL.

Will you blue the barrel?

What scope?
