I got a 99H this year and enjoyed hunting with it. It's a fun shooter but for targets I like one of my 1899A take downs. I'm not sure if it shoots better than any of the other 303s but I just really like them as rifles. The longer barrels seem better for longer shots. Although where I hunt a 70 yard shot I'd about the absolute maximum. I think my next one will be a 1899H, wanted to own one of those for a while.
Ok, I'll admit it. I like about anything chambered in 303 savage.
I forgot, I have an 1899B that I put a stith mount and a 330 scope on. I had to shim the rear mount but it shoots great and is a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.
Kinda like picking a favorite whiskey. My 1926 303 F is so damm lite, easy handling and accurate, its my favorite today. Subject to change at any given moment.

Can't say there's a particular one I enjoy more than the others.
They're all good....
“The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”. All models and variations of 1895’s, 1899’s and 99’s covered. Also dates, checkering, engraving.. Find at www.savagelevers.com
Either of my 1895's shooting moderate handloads. It is just plain fun to shoot something that old and historic. I would never take either into the woods. I keep forgetting that I want to order some 190 grains just to give them a whirl.
I killed an elk with my 303 SRC a few years ago. I guess it's my favorite. Tried to post pics but image gallery says the file is too big. I'll again later. Posting later worked the last time it said the image was too big. I don't know how to shrink pics with the new computer.

Take thems shooting irons hunting. Back in 2014, I took my 303 1899 B (lettered Aug of 1899) out to let the air out of a decent freezer filler. My buddies at work said I was nuts to take a 115 year old gun out hunting. Well, to make a short story long, when it went back into the safe, it looked exactly how it looked when I took it out to go hunting. it thanked me for the opportunity to do its intended job and not merely be a display item to be taken out of the safe 3 times a year to be cleaned and admired.Thats just my 3 cents worth.(inflation)
To remain true to OP query, my 1899 B could be my fav tomorrow.

I have a refinished takedown 99. 19" Barrel in .303 which appears to be NOS as it has a mirror finish bore and razor-sharp lands and fits extremely tight to the point you can't remove by hand, need a strap wrench. It also has a tang sight and a fold-down marbles rear sight. It has been professionally Drill & Tapped, the bolt has been engine turned, and the internals are shiny and spotless. This is the best handling and the smoothest 99 I own out of the bunch. Someone refinished this and blued it with care and left the factory marbles compass in the buttstock intact and in great working condition. I bought this exactly the way it is thinking it would become my go-to and I would not have to worry about harming collector value as it has been refinished. It has not become my go-to and won't due to other better options I now have. I don't shoot it much but I did start working up loads for it a few years back with FTX 160's.
If anyone interested, I would trade this rifle without the tang sight, dies, brass and a Williams QD scope mount with a quick change peep sight that uses the rear tang screws for a non-collector Savage 99 in .308.
My bubba'd-up SRC, wounded, but never caught the biggest buck I've ever seen in the woods, three years ago Thanksgiving morning.. still my favorite,..but I switched to a different bullet..
