SC the forend is large and grip large if you have small hands you will not like it, ordered another the quality is a big step up form the old B&C stocks.
And $300 shipped with no wait is huge and LH.
Jeff I am culling and have a total loss of 2 this year, so there!

Tikka will have a custom area on their website where you can build any rifle they offer and have it brought to the US through Beretta. Sako is already doing it and Tikka is following suit.

I have a T3X in 6.5 CM that I'm having threaded for a suppressor and putting a picatinny rail on it so I can swap between a conventional scope and thermal. With the 5 rd mags, it should make a nice hog gun.

Yes scope arrived. Everyone seems to really like those Tikka. Most likely they shoot well bexause they sure are talked up a good deal. Ive gotten into more of the controlled feed and classic style rifles as i hit my 40's but maybe i should sell a levergun and pick up a Ruger American but its difficult to find the need or spot for it.

What do you like about the B&C stock over the factory stock? I've thought the factory stock to be pretty decent and don't have much experience with the B&C stocks.

Lighter , better built, better recoil pad and I am just a Looney! Plus it fits me and looks better.
Impressive that it fits different Tikkas which means Tikkas are built to the same tolerance, try that with a Ruger 77 they vary wildly.
Just got the B&C catalog they have a new Ruger Hawkeye/ MK2 stock where they mention the recoil lug may have to be spot bedded due to Rugers broad range of tolerances.
Full-length aluminum bedding block from front swivel to the grip which adds width in forearm and grip are which may be too big for some. But far better than the old B&C stocks.
Plus I have 5 Tikka LH rifles now I can tell them apart, hate it when I go bear hunting and grab the 223 and the wrong ammo!

Kurt, Does the stock require any bedding tweaks or is it a good drop in fit?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Randy the B&C stocks fit perfect once you figure out how to install them, have to tilt barrel to get them to install. Try to set them in straight and they wont fit. And remove small plastic index protrusion from floor plate. On 2 they have fit 100% with no mods. Kurt out!

They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Very Nice collection.
For the tikka T1x rifle, you can get a Limbsaver recoil pad part # 10011 and it is easy to change out, direct replacement. It will add some LOP and also get rid of the plastic original pad. There's other benefits , if you are one to lean the rifle against say a wall and with a cement floor, that plastic original pad can be slippery and cause rifle to fall/kick out, where the limbsaver is rubbery and wont kick out so easly when rifle is on a vertical angle.
I recently picked up one of those t1x LH too, but before I scope it I'm thinking about squirting the metal in possibly cerakote. already had one in RH and its really a well made/engineered rimfire.

Nice battery you have assembled there. Like the optics too.
I'll admit that for years I kind of dismissed the Tikkas as a budget or price point minded offering and, by extension, I didn't pay them much attention. However, after reading the Canadian Ranger rifle tests a couple years back, I figured I'd give one a try. So far I've been impressed. Fit and finish is good, fantastic trigger, and exceedingly accurate with a number of different loads right out of the box. I also like the integral rail for scope mounting. I did upgrade to MT bottom metal and MT billet magazines, but I didn't have any trouble with the factory set up.
I've noticed, too, that B&C seems to have upped their game as far as quality and fit and finish, and I think they represent a great value compared to some competition. If they offered the M40 style in LH, I'd equip a few rigs with them.
I'm a stickler for good cheek weld and most straight combs don't fit me the best, so I usually end up looking for aftermarket arrangements. If weight isn't an issue, I'll go Boyds if they offer a model to fit, but the plywood can get heavier than I'd like for certain rigs. For a few years now, I've been buying Beartooth comb raising kits to use on synthetic stocks. I started with them as a way to try different heights before ordering a custom stock, but I like the way they fit and feel, so I've ended up just leaving them in place and using them on a few rigs if I can live with the rest of the stock.
