Fin Feather and Fur is nice little Ohio chain. It's like Sportsmans Warehouse was when the original owner ran it. I guess I'll be going down to the Toledo store more often.

True story. I dont own a single flannel shirt. I do wear khakis frequently however.

Sportsmanship had too much inventory to survive. They had a huge fly fishing section in Ames iowa. Really? Ames? There isn't a trout for 100 miles from Ames and even then only in 1 direction. (Yes, I know it's actually Ankeny). The state does stock rainbows that you can catch with gummy bears but that doesnt justify the inventory they have.

Only sportsman I’ve been to is the Slidell LA.

Always wondered why they carry 2 aisles of fly stuff.

We have a Bass pro within 10 miles of the Sportman's warehouse. I wonder if the Sportman's is going to close ?? I haven't been in a Bass Pro in 3 years and didn't ever plan on going back. This stinks. When Sportman's was going through the bankruptcy I was still a loyal customer. We pulled Sportman's through the hard times. Now this. I'm speechless.

I used to buy a lot o' schit from Cabelas, both as far as hunting clothing and casual clothing. Cabelas used to have some pretty damned decent schit. Hell, I had to head into work quickly today and threw on a heavy brown button up long sleeve that I've had for 15 years and wears like iron. Still looks new. Carhart like stuff that looks good. I've got a bunch of 1/3 zipper pullovers from cabelas as well that can't be found anymore, but which I could sure use a size smaller in these days. And their cabelas labeled base layers were great.

Wouldn't give a buck for any of the redhead labeled crap I've ever looked at.

We never have any inventory on anything. No guns, handguns, shotguns, limited ammo, fishing stuff, or even workable camping stuff. We sure have a lot of extra cheap camo though. They took the whole field and stream staff and made them buyers and that screwed up stuff. They even have us wearing new vests that look like walmart. those things came about two weeks ago. I should have guessed that the end was near.

Cabelas kind of “bridged the gap” between the high dollar stuff, and the “garbage that just happens to be camo”.

Bass Pro has replaced most of the Cabelas gear with the Redhead crap. I don’t need Kuiu to sit in a deer blind, but at least the Cabelas stuff was decent. I can get “Gamewinner” brand st Academy that’s as good as the Redhead, and a heckuva lot cheaper, to sit in a dry 40 degree box...

Are sportsmans was pretty bad already but its really going to suck now. Several of the guys there are jerks, and they claim to match prices but never do it. We just got a new place in Idaho Falls called ALs thats also out of Utah. ALs people are much more friendly and their prices are better. And they don't say crap like you can't have your one box of 22 shells today because we know you already have some at home.

Cabelas was sliding years before BPS bought them.

I've been in a few sportsman's warehouse, but I don't know if I have one within 12 hours of me. They seemed like a good store.

Brick and mortar is dead.
