been around 500-650t mobile cranes on site,
and they get impressive when extended with
all the add-ons..
but never anything like this..😁

Liebherr would be such an awesome company to be an engineer for.
If I was graduating school with that degree, I would be begging them for a job.
It seems like they are cutting edge in every market they are in.

Awesome. Can’t imagine the cost and the expense to hire.

Sometimes the actual lift can only take an hour
or so, but one has to factor in job location/travel
time, set up /take down time which could amount
to a number of days...one may not require
anywhere near 1200t lift cap. but still require
the big boy for reach.(max tip height 550 ft
with lattice and folding jib.)

I can only imagine the scope of the disaster that could take place if an operator makes an error with a machine like that. The potential mayhem is staggering.

Organizing a lift in a big city can get rather
complex, it's not just about blocking streets
and diverting traffic,etc , sometimes engineers
need to see if the ground is strong enough,...ie:
there may be rail tunnels not far underneath
and collapse of such would be serious disaster
effecting many things well beyond the job site.

This bring back nightmares of working for a German company. They can take the simplest thing and make it complex. I bet that the FMEA is 100,000 pages on that machine.

Liebherr makes one hell of a crane.
