When my mother and grandmother were alive the traditional Italian “Feast of the Seven Fishes”
- aglio e olio con alici (garlic, anchovies and red pepper seeds sautéed in olive oil over linguini)
- baccala (cod)
- clams casino
- calamari (squid)
- smelts
- babbalucci (snails in red sauce)
- shrimp scampi

one thing nice about JP's recipes is for the most part they are simple, few ingredients, and very good
don't have to try anything new and fancy, won't be doing that for a while
