Recently picked up a really nice Old Model Ruger Blackhawk 3 screw in 41 Rem Mag. Unfortunately, it had the conversion done to it and the original parts are nowhere to be found. Any info on a good source to find the necessary parts to un-convert it and bring it back to what it should be again? Thanks for any input, Dean.

Parts that you need are listed for sale here fairly often. Put a want to buy ad in the classifieds.

Sakoluvr is right,
Ask in the classifieds and someone will probably offer you parts

rugerforum.com has apparently turned off registering for their site, so no new members. Oh well!

Hmmm. That doesn't sound right. You might want to double check that.

Tried several times, no way to register as a new user. Searched FAQ's and found that if there isn't a register tab, that function has been removed. So....

I will post there and ask.

Ok, you are correct. This is what I found out:

Unfortunately, new member registration is currently inactive. Our ancient software cannot handle it and the Captcha feature is also down. Not sure when this will all be resolved. Our apologies to your friend.

I also asked when the problem will be resolved. Shame because it was such a good site. I have been there since 2002

This is why I never had my Ruger Single Six converted. It's still the way it came from the factory.

'56 vintage Flat Gate will stay original, for sure. Original grips were cracked. I fitted these ebony ones, installed Ruger medallions. Grips are now in MO with Errol Case, getting Fleur de Lis checkering. Errol does great carving, but said ebony doesn't carve well like walnut, even rosewood. So, checkering it is.

Here's a sample of what he can do, rosewood on the PPK, walnut on the Ruger... http://casecustomgunstocks.com/ And, his prices are reasonable, turn around time, not that bad.
