I had Russell's Moccasin company build these for me the Spring/Summer of 2008 for my trip to The Seward Peninsula, North of Nome, Sept 2008 on a Grizzly hunt. Instead I came back with this nice bull moose taken with my Ruger New Model Blackhawk in 45 Colt. These boots were made with about every option Russell puts into this model. Other than a few hikes on dirt trails to break them in, I wore them on the trip to/from Alaska and a deep snow elk hunt in Utah later that Fall. I wore them up to our local range, in the snow, the other day to try and decide if I want to keep them or send them down the road since 12 years "in-between" means they need to go. I did apply copious amounts of melted bees wax to water proof them before my Alaska trip. Walking through the snow apparently wears the surface finish. As you can see by the one pic, the toe portion of the right sole is separating (didn't realize this until I took the pic). Russells will absolutely repair this!!! I believe I don't have anything unusual, size wise, with my feet. Never had, nor do I have athletes foot fungus nor has anyone ever told me I have sweaty, stinky feet. I can't recall if I have a 200 gm or 400 gm of Thinsulate in the "foot only"; but it's there.

I will pay shipping to you. If you absolutely don't like them, pay the return shipping and I will refund your money. I'm sure I paid over $425 for these. Asking $300. I've been selling on the CF for 15+ years and always try and make sure the buyer is satisfied. As you can see by the link at the bottom of page, you will pay over 2x as much as i'm asking for. Actually, once I added the additional items on Russell's website, the cost was $825; nearly 2x as much as I paid.

Merry Christmas

Alan

Those have some character, and memories. Not sure I could get rid of those! Which explains why my gun/hunting room is overflowing...
