Thought you fellas might dig seeing this faux "tipo 2" build. Beretta FKF marked receiver, NOS Italian stock, NOS Springfield bolt, Springfield trigger group as well as 1960s barrel rechambered by the Italians in 7.62x51mm NATO. Very little use. When installed it still needed to be reamed a touch to make 1.633" headspace.

I do look forward to some pleasant weather hunting days next season, and a whole lot of range time!

That's awesome. I'd love one chambered in .308.

Thanks guys, glad you like and happy to have brought a kitten into the world haha.

Craigster, your brother's rifle must be very cool. Sadly a BM59 is verboten up here, but we can get the parts kits and many end up donating pieces to Garand builds.

I wanted to get one done up before the well of parts dry up and they are still (relatively, in 2020) reasonable in cost.

Happy you dig

Garands can be addictive. I am down to only two. I should be down to just one, but...
A Springfield 11/43 and a Springfield 3/42 (six digit serial number) that I restored to predominatley correct parts. The 11/43 still has a VAR barrel but it shoots so well, I can't bring myself to change it out. The 3/42 has the wrong elevation knob but the correct one in $250.

Another 308 Win M1 built on a Beretta receiver. This one is a full length rifle though, using 30-06 length parts. It was reparked and is in a Dupage stock. Criterion barrel.

If only I could stop pulling that 5th shot! Definitely me, not the rifle.

It's only an addiction - if you have more than Five(5).

... well, Seven(7), anyway. (a couple for the kids.)
