Red dot sights like Burris Fast Fire 3's are real popular because they are "on" even if you are shooting you other shoulder.

I sold a rifle I had my leupold VXR 1x4 illuminated dot scope and I'm thinking about trying that on my other turkey gun (870 tactical w/ shur shot stock - looks like their predator model).

It wont be as lightweight and have to look through the tube , but it should till offer some advantages of a red dot.

Or will the parallax get me on this?

????

I have a few red dot sights on other guns, but I tried a tube type sight on a turkey gun once. For me I want a reflex sight on my turkey guns. I have a Burris FF3 and a Vortex Viper on another one. I have had more Burris FF2's than I can count. To me, the reflex sight is way easier to use when things are not perfect.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....
