That's a dandy buck! I have also been forced to take a THS on an archery buck shot a tad far back. At 22 yards the arrow struck him at the root of the tail and dropped his rear to the ground. It still took hours to find him, but he's on the wall now. Small (6-point eastern count) Coues buck.

I had my buck scored for entry into Pope & Young the other day, it is gross 147 2/8" and net 138 6/8".
