Looking for outfitter recommendations for guided cow elk hunt in fall of 2021 for 73 yr old reasonably fit man.

I’m going to follow this thread. 61 here and recuperating from hip replacement. My youngest wants a meat hunt and this would be perfect.

Have you thought about a hunt on a private ranch, probably comparable in costs and a higher potential for success.

Look around Saratoga, Wy. Spur Outfitters or Wycon, others are also good.

Most elk outfitters have cow hunts, usually later in the year and usually cheaper. Often they are hard to find on the web sites!

Ive hunted with Tyler Willis at Timber Canyon Ranch Outfitting several years. The ranch is outside of Sybille, Wyoming. You stay in the ranch bunkhouse during the hunt and cook for yourself. They provide their vehicles and fully guided service, care of the game in the field, skinning, and a walk in fridge to store the game until you leave. They hunt on their home ranch and have hunting leases on other private property. Lots of elk, great guys I now call friends, and a good experience. I highly recommend Tyler.

Timber Canyon is in an area where elk really herd up and move around in big herds. Can be feast or famine on elk in that area.
