Don't think anyone "is making" a copy right now.

Browning did some in the '80s, and Winchester has done some more recently. There are a few threads around here that mention the differences...

There was an Italian company doing one. Saw it in 2020 not too long ago. Can't find it now. Maybe they quit it.

Thanks. They did list .348 in the sight I saw. This only lists 45-70 and .444 Marlin

I prefer classic.

I have a Jap made 1886, which isn't very close to the Winchester. I wonder about the Pedersoli.

Browning did a run a few years ago after the SHOT show, maybe eight years or so ago.

I have 2 of the Taylor & Company (Perdersoli) 1886/71s. The 1886 is a 26" barreled take-down. The 71 is a deluxe model with checkering and color case-hardened receiver. Both are 45-70, and both are of a quality of the original Browning 1886 & 71s of the 1980s-2000s. I'd recommend them as the Brownings are getting hard to find these days.

I have the Miroku-Browning saddle ring carbine of the early nineties in 45-70. Very nice! If you want one in .348 Win, why not just buy a decent era-original Winchester? 'Bout a decade ago, I bought a second year production, long tang Model 71 for $1800. Pricey at the time but high condition & not finding on every street corner! Glad now i grabbed it!
Best & Stay Safe!
