Good Morning, I used to visit the Alaska outdoor site, loved reading the stories and concerns from The Great State, Also, love the photos.. Since the switch over, (Alaska Outdoor University) there's not much traffic, Nor here... So I ask (If it's not classified....) Where did all the participants from AK go???
And these zombies line up and eat from the media’s trough

We're here, no worries. Is that the site with all the whining moderators, 75 sub-forums, and dudes who've been here 1 year and 3 months who wanted to know all the old-timers specific info? I haven't been there in years.

That bunch over there could stand to take some midol and chill out.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Me I will tell anyone who wants to know where to go hunting, in Alaska there be no secret honey holes..
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Count me in! I was on the 'other' site religiously from 2005-2015 or thereabout. Guys here seem to be more down to earth and know their [bleep]. Can't F**KING stand the 75 forums and scrolling for days over there. A BUNCH of totally worthless forums. Quantity, not quality.

When everybody over there was kissing Murph's ass and calling him "Professor" and he was sucking it up calling himself a "Ballistics Engineer" and did not have the first clue about bullet stabilization...or much else about ballistics... and he would edit responses to make it look like he had a clue after the fact, it got a bit much. Some were perfectly willing to tongue-bathe his privates after there was plenty of proof he was a total bullshitter... Cracked me up... I got banned for explaining how/why he was clueless.

That is funny!!! I enjoyed the photos mainly, I was stationed in Fairbanks way back when, it seems the hunting has changed with all the tags and draws, When I was there, sheep hunting was open, typically we went in the Wood River area, I took a really nice ram (1) in Kansas Creek. Always wanted to go back, wanted to retire in SE AK.
Ballistics and which bulllet/cartridge/scope is "best". can get entertaining,
Thanks guys,,,

Sitka, I totally agree with you that Murphy was an absolute, know it all TOOL.
I don't know how a Fairbanks townie, gubmint worker could hold himself in such high esteem. Auto pilot gubmint salaries spent on wildcatting and shootimg equipment garnishes zero respect from me.
The idiot would call somebody a derogatory, belittling name. Once he received a reaction, he would edit his post to make himself look like a good guy, he would then leave up their reactions and kick them off the forum.
I called him out on that bllsht and he kicked me off as well. A bunch of forum members complained and my account was restored.
He moved away from Alaska years ago, claimed Alaska is "too expensive". What a douche nozzle!
There were other do nothing blowhards as well, like moderator "lujon" Another do-nothing townie who probably never left Wasilla.
There were some good guys too, Like stid and AK_lanche. Really hard hunters a nice fellas.
When Strahan kicked off practically anyone with a personality or experience, Those moderators left the forum as well.
I usually posted in the canoe forum, but stopped paying to advertise my boats when the forum went practically dead.
I saw you posting on there. You were an as$ hole, and I liked you! You have alot of experience and an actual personality. Those three attributes were probably why you were banned. Strahan likes bland sheeple.
With that said, there is no originality left over there. Just 6.5 creedmoor, Sitka gear wearing city slickers and urbanites who make pretend they're country.
Building canoes, running wild rivers with my craft, building freight sleds, training malamutes and chasing caribou by dog team: I have zero in common with what's left of that forum.

Being recognized as an [bleep] is better than being overlooked entirely. I had several discussions with Strahan about Murph before nuking him. I had zero intentions of continuing to post there anyway. Strahan defended Murph's practical knowledge and proved he has none himself...
