Today a friend gave me some 22 Hornet reloading supplies along with a magazine for a Savage 23D in 22 Hornet.
Of course, now all I need is the rifle!
Anyone know of one available?
Will the magazine also fit another Savage model?

The magazine will also fit Savage 19H rifles in 22 Hornet. Not sure if the magazine varied over time for the 23D/19H.

Will the 23D magazine fit the 340/342? It looks very much the same and I suspect it boils down to the index slots on the back of the magazine housing being the same of different between the 23D and 340/342. Does anyone know?

I use a 23D magazine in my Stevens 340 22 Hornet, works great!
