Changed mine from "two dogs F'ng" to 'two dogs barking'. First one offended some people.

Why were a lot of older Italian men in the US named Tony?
When they got on the boat to America they stamped To NY (Tony) on their forehead.

The man can't even have a name without someone screwing with it.😊

I knew a guy when I was in the USARMY who had his name changed because he hated his dad with a passion, told us it took a ton of paper work and a lawyer to get everything in order. Never spoke of his dad at all, and had a serious chip on his shoulder, but was an over all good man. I hope he is doing well wherever he is right now.

That one did make me laugh. Its one Italian joke I havent heard.

My grandparents came through New York from Italy, then my grandfather changed the family name but didnt do it through any legal process, my dad had problems when he retired with social security because of it and because his SS# was under a different name and his military records didnt match that SS#. He didnt have a birth certificate, only a babtismal record that was in spanish because in the southern AZ mining camp where he was born the churchs records were all in spanish. Luckily he got it all straightened out.

Nope not me but my Father had to do some when he went into the service a long time ago.

They would not let him sign up without 2 names not initials.

I am names after him and one of my brothers is named what my Grandmother wanted in the first place but Grandpa was celebrating to much and just put the letters on the papers.

She was not happy but his new name stuck.
