Just a good, but simple fixed 6x scope?
Does anyone make one, or have any?
Thanks!

Doug has this if you're not offended by the brand or reticle.

Put an ISO/WTB add up on The Campfire or Accurate Reloading. You will get results. S&B makes one.

In the last year I posted wtb’s for 6X Leupold M8’s in the Free Classifieds and bought two 6x33’s and a 6x42.

After reviewing what I have on hand, I think I'm going to put a Leupold 2-7x33 on the rifle. It's my grandfather's Sav. 99 .243, and has an old Weaver K-4 with post and crosshair reticle on it now. My older eyes just don't work well with old Weaver K-4's anymore...

Ive always like Leupold 6's. Seem to come up for sale pretty often.
A gloss x36 would look good on an old 99!

2-7x33 seems like a great choice. FOR ME. I found the 6x limiting things in situations where I might be using my lever action. .

Given the dearth of reliable 6x hunting scopes, I think you’re about right. I gave up on the Kaps and got a Trijicon 3-9 for just a bit more money.

I have two Meopta's if you need one. A plex that's never been mounted and a #4 I got here on the fire.

Just about anywhere, just make sure the power range has a 6 in it.

Bump for Doug at CameralandNY. Just advertised he has FXII 6x36 scopes in stock. I'd be all over it if I didn't already have some...

Thanks! Doug is a great guy! Very much the pattern a business ought to have. I'd call him, but have decided to put a Leupold 2-7x33 on the rifle for now.

Yep, you'll get along fine with that Leupold 2-7x33. Put one on my Henry .45 Colt. I can hit chit now!
