Called Effie at Savage Custom Shop about getting one of these in left hand. Thinking about making it my light rifle for a upcoming sheep hunt. She said they are going to be available come spring 21. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but good to have quality choices. Fits nicely with their Timberline offering if you haven't seen it.

Wow...that is great to hear. I almost bought a 110 Storm earlier this year but ended up not getting it. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eye out for when the Ultralite becomes available. In the mean time I’ll be deciding which caliber to get (hopefully they offfer the same chamberings as the RH model).

If they actually weigh what Savage says they will I'll buy a .308

That would be a heck of a mountain rifle for the lefty. I will keep my eyes peeled for these and like LOPER I will keep my fingers crossed that they are offered in the same calibers as the right handed models. I wouldnt mind having a left handed 28 Nosler so i can shoot the buck in my scope and the 3 does standing behind him.

Well, saw Savage announced the Impulse rifle but no mention of the left hand Ultralite.

Will open up some of the choices from Savage custom shop too if they introduce it. I've understood the custom shop would put together any of the ingredients of stock offerings, in your own custom group of standard parts. I'm not a big fan of the carbon wrapped barrels, Welcome introduction if they actually do it.

Called Effie at Savage again yesterday. She said by late spring possibly. They are committed to offering it. Said to watch their website.

Thanks for the update, great to hear. Did you get any idea of calibers they will be offering?

Well its now Spring 2021 and I haven't seen anything on Savage's website about the Ultralite 110 in the left hand configuration. So this week I called Savage's custom shop and asked to get one in left hand, hoping to get more info about when it is going to come out as a standard item. Effie said that come Fall it will be offered as a cataloged item, then she said late Summer. She didn't provide a hard date, so I'm guessing August/September. Even though its not going to be available this Spring I'm still excited that this is going to be offered, as I don't have much ammo to shoot currently anyways. I hate to say it, but I failed to ask about the calibers it is going to be offered in.

Spoke to Effie today and she said no luck getting these to market yet. She has now pushed it to 22 based on her info. She did say they could build a custom in an Accustock, but it adds 8 to 10 ounces. MSRP from Custom Shop was $1,900.00.

Man, very disappointed to hear this is getting pushed back. Can't say I'm all that surprised though.

I have had very good luck with Savage rifles in the past. Accurate. Reliable. Excellent value.

However, I cannot mentally come to terms with spending $1500 - $2000 for a Savage rifle. Even a custom left hand ultralight.

Same here.

I’m a big fan of savage rifles.

They’ve offered a lot of models for LH.

But $1500-2000 is getting into Christensen arms range.

No such thing as a custom Savage. They're all just different combinations from boxes of parts. If the parts are expensive enough upgrades over the base rifle price?

Build one yourself.
Buy a titanium action, XLR magnesium chassis with CF buttstock + grip and a remage proof barrel.
