Well one way anyway... this is a 16.5 “ or so FAL barrel that needed to have the shoulder turned back just a tad to make the extractor cut align with the new receiver.
This had to be done before putting the gas block on which needs to be aligned with the Top dead center of the receiver (I didn’t show those pics).
(Note - Inch receivers & barrels screw in past the TDC and you use bushings to align, this isn’t an INCH version)


All the regular stuff applies - make sure the shoulder is the bind point, not the internal action abutment....
Align the bore / chamber under 2 /10,000’s
Then remove metal & test, ... repeat until it’s where it needs to be to tighten up and align.
Then you move on to head-spacing which is done with a locking shoulder lug that comes in different thicknesses... (you don’t headspace the chamber you change the shoulder lug).
