Dads 1911 from WW2 had been carried by a doctor friend in WW1 was stolen when my parents moved..... You are so lucky to have yours.

I miss my stainless Kimber Carry and now understand better the whole Model 70 - model 80 Schwartz thing but .... still find my Sig two-tone attractive after a new thin set of grips rather decent looking. I have the V-10 ultra-compact (single and double-stack), V-12 full-size, and V-16 long-slide. They're a far cry from most that are pictured here, but, they're what I'm comfortable shooting.... I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.
