[url=https://postimg.cc/fJKn29xL] [/url Hopefully this afternoon's hunt will look as good as yesterday's afternoon hunt. It's the last afternoon of deer season here in Georgia. That pic brings back memories of cull hunts. Pickup beds level full of German Shepard size deer. Yep. Had a few of those 6 or 8 days. They look fat and tender, too.

Just tripled on Duck911, Starman, and Happy Camper in the “My friend got COVID from the COVID vaccine” thread. Other than that, I got this dude the other night... Bait please? Usually pre-bait with a little bird seed when I know they’re in the area. When I set the traps, I’ll go out that day and clean up all the bird seed so there’s none left, then mix a little glycerin in some peanut butter, slather it on the trigger, and then sprinkle a little of the same bird seed on the peanut butter. Glycerin probably isn’t necessary in most places, but without it my peanut butter is a popsicle in an hour, or so. Unless you were talking about the three stooges. In which case they’re usually pretty good at setting themselves up such that bait isn’t a requirement.

Haven't killed anything since I dropped a doe muzzle loading. No unethical hunting methods that result in tired deer, barely able to take a step, were used during this hunt. Yeah.. But -1 for hunting in the snow. Gives an advantage when blood trailing. Thats a big doe.

Next weekend we're having a scout winter campout with a class on dressing wild game for survival. I'll thaw it out and use it for a demo. I wish I could get a couple more but I've been keeping them pretty well thinned out. I tried to get a couple jackrabbits, too, but no luck there. Jacks are WAY down this year around here. Last night I drove 20 miles on desert roads about dark and didn't see a single one. RC, i know some who say jackrabbits are delicious and ask me for those i shoot.

Then you had a burger, beer, and hit the back 9??? Haha, winner winner... Was just thinking of the Col. There was an airgun show on TV and they were boating canals shooting big lizards. Tons of free food down there. I wonder how they taste.

Son wanted to set a cage trap in the backyard, possum in it last saturday, did the thing with a couple 22shorts, looked like deal was done.
Joker still breathing the next day, a couple more shots, left it.
Joker moved about 20 yards overnight, may have been dragged, but it was still breathing. A couple more shots on Monday and a strike from a piece of firewood,
Well anyway, still alive yesterday afternoon, 5 more shots, just went ahead and put him in a bag and got rid of him this am. Dangdest thing I've seen in a while.
I felt a little bad. How it survived maybe a dozen 22s to the head and a couple to the chest is beyond me. Those are some bleedin jokers too.

That's a certified whopper sow right there. Very nice. I don't envy the drag out....lol
What state did she come from, and what cartridge did you shoot her with?

What state did she come from, and what cartridge did you shoot her with? Yeah, it took 3 rednecks, 6 beers & a tractor to get her out! She was about 20 miles from my place in middle TN & a neck shot with my .300blk took her straight down

Sounds like a good time, even if there was a lot of work involved!
