OP Irving_D Campfire Tracker I Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 6,156 Ny	Any recommendations on a decent one that isn't garbage, I tried the Tipton ultimate gun vise and it's all plastic and when you turn one of the knobs to clamp it place the one on the opposite side will back out making it almost impossible to secure the gun You've got to hand it to a blind prostitute

For metal working, a Wilton bench vise, and for gun cleaning, sights/scope mounting, etc., I use (and like) the Tipton.
