There were Saturday night's, in a previous life, where I emptied five kegs of Heineken. No skunkyness, I can assure you.

The stuff they sell on this side of the pond is most definitely hit and miss. Especially in Summer. I won't buy it here.

May be true of cans and bottles but great out of the keg IME. Those little refrigerator kegs are pretty good to.

Grown to favor their ways after I began brewing my own. Good beer, something with flavor, should be consumed at room temperature. None of the big brewers in the US even come close.

one of the positives of winter here. I can leave the Alaskan Husky IPA on the garage floor and have it @the perfect temp.

Evidently, they are out of business or they don't make it any more...

and no one in this thread has spent time in NY State....

Worse beers I've ever tasted were over in NY State when I was in college....
Rheingold and Knickerbacher.. talk about horse piss...

I called Knickerbacher.... Ni Ger Knocker..... the name stuck at our college...

One town over we also had a Tuborg brewery, there in Massachusetts..
I was on the Student Government and Special Programs Director at our college which put on dances and social activities...
Tuborg approached us and told us they would donate all the kegs of Tuborg we wanted for free when we had social activities..
We did that once.... it went over like a lead balloon.. tasted live schitt..

Bad enough that college kids turn down all the free beer they wanted....

Kirkland light is absolutely the worst beer on the planet. I tried to give it to the cheapest guy I know and he said no thanks. It was so bad I wouldn’t pop the tab and drain it for the deposit and hauled it to the dump.

Nobody loves Kirkland products more than me but their attempt at beer was a huge miss. Reason for that is it was made to be a copy of the surging in hipster popularity.. PBR

I can and will drink most any beer including Busch natural light Olympia etc..
PBR can give steel reserve a run for its money but that’s about it
