Lol....from my experience up north I’d say that’s pretty damn accurate. Only been in one fight that I can recall in Canada. We tried to ignore an obnoxious drunk that was persistent in his attempts to annoy Americans. He saw our American money and started throwing Loonies and other assorted worthless coins at us. We moved tables and went upstairs to the outdoor patio to avoid what he had coming. I talked my two buddies out of rearranging his face and even tried to buy him a drink since I knew that fighting was a dead end for “foreigners” in a foreign country. I asked the drunk guys friends to control him before it got ugly but my pleas fell on deaf ears. Finally the drunk dumped his pocket full of change on the table and made another comment. My buddy looked at me and I nodded with tacit approval that we’ve tried and drunk guy needed a lesson. Two of us moved away so we could have our friends back. None of the three of us are small guys two of us were 6’2”-6’3 230+ and our buddy that won the coin toss was 6’7”. One swing and drunk guy went sailing, we had planned this so our bill was already paid, we chugged our drinks and left. His 2 friends came running after us and I thought great....here we go...the beginning of my journey to a Canadian jail. When they got close to us they stopped and said they wanted to apologize for their friend, that they were ashamed of his behavior toward visitors and that he had it coming. They thanked my buddy for only hitting him once. We shook hands and left quickly since I was fearful that it was a trap to keep us engaged until the cops showed.

One fight in all the drunken nights I’ve spent there ain’t bad. I’ve always found Canadians to be, by and large, great people that are friendly and helpful.

Lucky the Canadian Armed Forces weren't around.....

Probably swim lessons that day.....

Maybe lunch time.....
