Steak Umm's for da rich folk!

To be fair, just about any processed meat with egg and cheese on a bagel makes a fine meal.
I'll be on the lookout fore these.

Does Costco carry them at a discount?

I've got to make a run over to the big town that's got a Costco in a couple of months. Might just have to try some if they do.

True but these have a flavor that is fairly unique. And you can grill them, fry them or just throw them on a cookie sheet.

Might become a deer camp staple for some.

After we cooked the first package I ran out and bought five more for the freezer.

They're $4.98 for six.

These were in Wal-Mart. In the big open freezer units they keep the turkeys and frozen beef patties.

We ain't got them round these parts.

Will a 7-11 or U Totem do? Circle K?

But, I bet once those folks at Costco see how well they're selling in certain areas, they'll have some made up to sell under the Kirkland brand. Then, we're in like Flynn

None here either. Those are the stores I remember from the 60s when I used to visit FL every Summer. Last time I was there was 1994 for a funeral.

That's OK,

we don't get any Cheerwine out here either.

But, in the beach cities there seems to be a plethora of those Razors and Ruckus thingies.

And more importantly,............................................... Bikinis! ( I don't see many up here tho, I guess 27F isn't conducive to bikini fashion)

Not available in local Walmart, but is available on line at $97ish a case of 48/3oz packages.

Big Dave, she may need to diet a little bit.

Those were a staple for me in my bachelor days and I made them for my wife a few times, too.

I'd get them frying in a big pan, (in butter,, of course) and when about halfway done, add sliced onions and bread slices to the pan. When everything was done, the patties, onions and a slice of mild cheese would go on the grilled bread. Greasy and delicious.

True but these have a flavor that is fairly unique. And you can grill them, fry them or just throw them on a cookie sheet.

Might become a deer camp staple for some.

Just ordered a case, should make some good campin food. Thanks for the nudge Clarke

Speaking of soy, I picked up a pack of Impossible Burger the other day on my more-or-less once-a-month grocery run. $6.99 a pound. Looks like burger. Raw, it smells like nothing you’d want to eat, and you definitely don’t want to give it a sniff while it’s cooking. Once cooked, it tastes like burger, more or less. With some cheese and ketchup on a bun, some would never notice the difference between it and cheap beef like you get at a fast food place. Definitely better than the regular veggie burgers like Boca Burger that tastes like recycled Stove Top Stuffing with liquid smoke added. I could eat this in a pinch, as long as I didn’t have to smell it first. Fortunately, I ain’t in a pinch.

Maybe, it used to be !

Today, 99.8% of all soy product is genetically modified.

Not going in my body.

What can I say? COVID cabin fever can make you toss caution to the winds in search of entertainment.

I tried to copy the ingredients, but the clever rascals wouldn’t permit it. Lots of stuff there that mathman probably wouldn’t like.

Pretty sure that’s in there too. Ain’t much that isn’t.

So, what brand of soy sauce do you buy? We use Kikkoman, but the wife also buys some darker stuff that’s really strong when we can find it. Funny, but she never heard of fish sauce until I bought some; not common in Northern China apparently.

Mostly for red meat I eat venison that costs me about $200 a pound. Only an estimate; probably higher if I really added it all up.

Don’t worry, my soyburger research is complete.
