More people voted for DJT in 2020 than the total populations of all but 19 countries.
More than the entire population of the UK, or France, or Italy.
I keep hearing that Biden and the Democratic Party have a clear mandate from the American people to make changes, but 51.4% of the popular vote doesn't look like a clear mandate to me. Yep, a big number, and a poor reflection of the intelligence and character of our electorate. There have always been excuses for supporting that POS, none of which reflect positively on the supporter. Racist, fearful, aggrieved white privilege, uninformed, dimwit, selfish, take your pick. And, at the end of the day, 81,283,485 is a much bigger number. Just as 306 is bigger than 232.. Deal. 52.27% of the popular vote is the 5th highest total over the past 13 elections, 4 were higher and 8 were lower. 306 EC votes is a much bigger number than 232, just as 304 was a much bigger number than 227 in 2016. So, if you're looking at the Electoral College numbers as a mandate from we the people, how is Biden's "mandate" in 2020 more meaningful than Trump's in 2016?

Where the candidates were falling all over themselves trying to promise more free schidt than the next guy, "reparations," eliminating fossil fuels in ten years, and so on and so forth. Real genius stuff there. Candidates for public office making promises that they are unlikely to ever follow through on, what's new? Lying with a straight face and the ability to sell improbable dreams is part of every politician's skill set.

I agree, voting should be in person and with a picture ID presented and validated before a person can cast his/her vote. Make election day a Federal holiday so that everyone can go to the polls in person without having to balance work with the obligations of citizenship.
