I've got a few cci small pistol primers I could do without. Fellow wants to trade me his PMC small rifle primers for them. I don't think primer for primer is fair because mine are the very desirable CCI. Or am I wrong?

They're your primers. You decide what is fair. At this point, I think it's basically an "anything goes" situation. If you can get the other guy to buy your thinking, you can get more primers out of him.

Federal SPP are the most sought after for handgun guys, CCI is way down the list as far as desirability, very hard primer. In this particular time, if you need something, primer for primer seems equitable.

If I were the other guy, it would be one for one, or nothing. I don’t think “brand” is near as important these days as “having” primers.

I would value the CCI primers over the PMC primers, but in today's world primers are primers.

That would be a one for one trade for me or not at all.

I just did a trade with another member on here(sisco). I had Remington 6 1/2 and he had br4’s. It was a great deal for both of us seeing as we both needed and wanted what the other had. Br4’s more expensive pre covtard primer situation. 6 1/2 no longer made. So it worked out great and I met a local member who is a great guy

If either of us would have said two for one it would not have happened I’m sure

If you need the small rifle and he needs small pistol my advice would be to make the trade. Never know when you might get the opportunity again. Might be a while

LGS said the small rifle primers are all gone because people are using them in pistol loads..after they couldn't get pistol primers.

Wonder how their pistol game scores came out?

Do I have pay capital gains tax if I sell primers at market value?
