My son is 8 y/o and had taken a liking to shooting. I need an inexpensive H&R to start him on. My dealer charges an arm and leg for transfers so be gentle.

My dealer charges an arm and leg for transfers so be gentle. Dinny Time to find another dealer! The cost for doing the transfer around here is $15 to $30. My brother charged most people $15. Luckily he didn't require money from his brothers.

All the shippers have raised rates dramatically for shipping firearms. It makes shipping inexpensive guns prohibitive almost.

All the shippers have raised rates dramatically for shipping firearms. It makes shipping inexpensive guns prohibitive almost. Interesting considering USPS ships firearms and there doesn't seem to be a special price for them above and beyond standard rates.

Only an ffl can ship through USPS I don't think that's true. You have to ship TO an FFL or for repair but there's no postal regulation against citizens shipping firearms.

1. Never tell everything that you know.
