As long as you have one that will feed from the magazine reliably, I agree totally. All of the production slug guns are Fords compared to the Mercedes Browning A-bolt though. Have to buy a custom Tar-hunt to beat it IMHO.

I have replaced more transfer bars in H&R shotguns than any other parts combined. Guess who has a dozen brand new ones sitting in a drawer? That same person isn't selling them for less than $200 each. There's no way short of replacing the hammer and installing a double coil spring to get around buying a new transfer bar.

I await the day when those overpriced USHs turn into tomato stakes.
