I sold two of them for more than that a few years ago. Very similar to land they are not going to make them again for quite some time.

Oddly little activity and the lefties are coming out of the woodwork. I have the same rifle and for double that I could learn to love mine less as well.

Over valued if you ask me. I owned two SS, both in 300 WM. One needed a new chamber cut. Both were heavy and didnt balance well in my hands. Also owned a 270 WSM, 300 WSM, 7mm mag and 30-06 in blued versions. They were all ok. Decent, not great accuracy. To be honest I dont know why shooters are so fascinated by these rifles.
If you are a collector, go for it. But there are less expensive, lighter, and more accurate rifles to use for hunting.

It's a stainless steel, New Haven gun, made only one year, and you cannot replace it. Whether it's worth $1750 to you, I cannot say.

Have to agree with Randy Winchester model 70,s feed smooth, had a lot of issues with safety trigger timing, fliers on 3 shot groups. Compared to a Tikka no issues! But they sell for a lot more money. Lefty,s had little opportunity to own one which adds to the lure, after you own one you realize the desire to own is different than wanting one. I was a little disappointed they did not live up to the hype.

Owning both the Ruger Hawkeye and the Winchester 70 in LH the Ruger is just as nice and once set up reliable and accurate.

Ive a blue//walnut version of the New Haven Classic model in 06 that I paid around $1250 for a year ago on GB but it came with a Leupold Vari-X II gloss 3x9......all very minty.. I'm pretty happy with it but would have rather have a 270......I came close by finding an excellent one in 270 WSM for half that in a local gunshop. Like said they didn't make very many. Sure a Tikka or Ruger might be okay or even better. Its kinda like Uberti SAA vs the real Colt to me

Totally agree with you. I have a New Haven Win Custom Shop LH Classic SA FWT 308. Only 2” M.O.A. at best! Tried all different loads over the years. Hornady plain jane cup and core White Tail Hunter ammunition works the best. It has a perfect Krieger barrel, I think I found the issue but too lazy to find a good gunsmith to repair it. The chamber has excessive headspace. It closes on a no-go gage but won’t close on a field gage. The fired brass has stretched also. The “Classic” Winchester firearms of the early “2000’s” had quality control problems.
I would stay away from them unless your prepared to spend some capital to make it shoot accurately. Just my experience.

I think I could live with the 2" M.O.A. if you ever get tired of looking for a good gunsmith haha

Dunno. Possible. However, the first bidder on the SS 270 was the final bidder on the CM 30-06. So not all shills.
