Picked up a neat little 22 yesterday. 77 Apache in very good condition. Weaver 1-3 scope. I remember seeing them at Kmart years ago but never owned one.

Remington's answer to the 10/22
There are both 5 and 10 round mags available.
The Remington 10C is the same rifle.
Remington Factory shooter shot 10,000 hand thrown wood blocks with two 66's.
Plenty on the used market but many were worked pretty hard. Finding one in the condition you want at a price you want to pay can be a challenge.
Love the Remington Nylons.

They used the same plastic mag as the 581, the tube fed nylon 66 was more reliable. At one time I have owned and used all

first plastic rifle if I'm not mistaken

I had the chrome version, but a guy wanted it for way more than I had in it so I let it go.

The green one is pretty scarce. In a 66 the green is big money.

I have one sitting in my safe. My grandmother bought me on when I was about 12 from the local Gambles (family name I believe) hardware store. Much prefer the CLIP fed vs. 66 tube fed. I was an Operator way back then and just didn’t know it!

I thought that the name indicated the color of the stock with Apache being black, Mohawk being brown, and Seneca being green.

Nylon 10 used the same barreled action as the 510x.

Nylon 11 used the same barreled action as the 511x.

Nylon 12 used the same barreled action as the 512x.

He’s saying the Nylon-series bolt actions were the same basic actions they’d been making for years, but with different sights and bolt handles, and the nylon stocks of course. My brother had the Nylon 12, or whichever one had the tube magazine. Thise rifles didn’t get the publicity of the autos, but the stocks were as tough.
