OP erickg Campfire Regular E Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 1,117	New SAA .45 inbound, new leather is a must, always been a Threepersons fan, thinking a nice floral carved piece from El Paso would be nice. Anyone care to share thoughts on their ideal single action rigs, photos are always welcome.

It is a hybrid style of mountainman/slimjim that she makes with a ridiculously comfortable 2.5” wide cotton webbing belt in the old US Cavalry style. It slips in perfectly, does not rattle at all, AND does not grab front when yanking the gun out. It’s a really great rig that looks almost like a minimalist slipper holster. I never really understood what the big deal was about regarding custom leather and the ridiculous money people are willing to pay. This rig is my only one and I do understand. OP erickg Campfire Regular E Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 1,117	Been partial to El Paso for over 20 years now, currently have one 1930 Austin, one Duke rig and 3 Threepersons, definitely leaning towards sticking with what I know works for me and that’s another El Paso Threepersons. Just curious what others are using/like.

Threepersons holsters just look klunky to me. Way too much extra material hangin' underneath the barrel. If you put a snap strap on it, they're pretty inconveniently positioned. I would personally prefer a more traditional Western type holster for a single action gun.
